Does buying property in the UAE get me a UAE passport?
No. Property at AED 2m or above qualifies you for a Golden Visa, which is 10-year renewable residency. It is not citizenship and it does not lead to a UAE passport. UAE naturalisation is exceptional and cannot be bought. Anyone marketing UAE property as a route to a second passport is describing something that does not exist.

What does a Golden Visa actually change, if not my passport?
Residency that is not tied to an employer, for 10 years and renewable. With it come tax residency in a country with no personal income tax, the ability to sponsor your family, and straightforward banking and company formation. A UAE residence permit also strengthens visa applications elsewhere, because it evidences a base, an income and assets, though it never replaces your own passport.
How much property do I need for a Golden Visa?
AED 2m, and the threshold is federal, so it is the same in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. It can be one property or several together, ready or off-plan on an approved payment plan. Note the purchase fee differs by emirate: 2% in Abu Dhabi, 4% in Dubai.
Is the tax comparison on this page advice?
