The Palm’s own mall, on the trunk at the foot of the Palm Tower: around 300 stores over five floors, a Waitrose, a cinema, roughly forty restaurants and the lift up to The View observation deck. The monorail stops at its door.
Before 2019 living on the Palm meant leaving it for almost everything, and that single fact capped what the trunk apartments could charge against the fronds. The mall changed the arithmetic: a tenant on the trunk now has a supermarket, a gym, a cinema and a doctor within a walk, which is why trunk stock has closed part of the gap on the beachfront fronds since it opened. For buyers the sharper point is service charges. Palm buildings carry some of the highest in Dubai, so the yield case rests on achievable rent rather than headline price, and proximity to the mall is one of the few things that reliably moves achievable rent on the island.
