Buying Dubai Property From Bangladesh

Bangladeshi buyers are well represented in Dubai, but almost all of them fund from income earned abroad, because remitting from Bangladesh itself is genuinely restricted. This page is straight about it.

We work with Bangladesh buyers in English (Bengali appreciated).

Getting the money there

The honest version first: Bangladesh Bank’s capital-account rules do not allow resident individuals to freely remit funds abroad for property purchase, and there is no simple personal channel to send taka out for a Dubai flat. A purchase funded from inside Bangladesh needs current professional advice before anything is signed, and you should walk away from anyone selling a workaround.

In practice most Bangladeshi buyers here are non-residents (NRBs) funding from income earned and held abroad, in the Gulf, the UK, the US or elsewhere, where none of this friction applies. The Dubai side is open regardless: freehold zones for all nationalities and DLD-registered title in your name.

What Bangladesh expects from you

  • Bangladeshi tax residents declare foreign assets and income to the NBR; non-residents are generally taxed only on Bangladesh-source income, one reason NRB buyers dominate this group.
  • The remittance question sits with Bangladesh Bank rules, not the UAE, take current advice rather than relying on anyone’s shortcut.
  • The UAE side stays clean: no personal income tax on rent and no annual property tax.

Pointers, not advice, confirm your position with the NBR / Bangladesh Bank or your own adviser before committing. We'll happily join that call.

Priced against the registry, not the brochure

Buying from Bangladesh, your biggest risk is information distance. You can't walk the building, so you're relying on whoever is on the ground. Every recommendation we make carries the DLD/ADREC registered numbers behind it: what units in that building actually sold for, what tenants actually pay, never asking prices. That's the whole point of this brokerage.

Questions Bangladesh buyers ask

Can Bangladeshis buy property in Dubai?

Yes, outright. Freehold zones are open to all nationalities and the Dubai Land Department registers title in your name. The constraint is funding, not ownership.

Can I send the money from a Bangladeshi bank?

For resident individuals, Bangladesh Bank rules do not permit free remittance for overseas property. Most buyers fund from income earned and held abroad. If Bangladesh-based funds are your only source, take professional advice before reserving anything.

Does AED 2M get me the Golden Visa?

Yes, the 10-year renewable visa applies from AED 2M of registered value, off-plan included, family included. For Gulf-based Bangladeshis it converts a job posting into long-term security.
