Getting the money there

The Dubai side has no Iraq-specific restriction: full freehold in the designated zones, DLD-registered title in your name, and Iraqi buyers rank among the market’s biggest nationalities year after year.

The planning sits on the funding side. International transfers from Iraqi banks can be slow and documentation-heavy, so many buyers pay from USD funds or accounts already held outside Iraq, and confirm the route with their bank before reserving. Whichever way you fund, keep the paper trail complete: clean source-of-funds evidence is what UAE banks and developers ask for.

What Iraq expects from you

  • Iraq primarily taxes Iraq-source income, and the treatment of foreign rental income depends on your circumstances, take advice from an Iraqi adviser if you are resident there.
  • Documentation is the real compliance work: keep records of every transfer and its source, they serve you on both sides.
  • The UAE side stays clean: no annual property tax and no personal income tax on rent.

Pointers, not advice, confirm your position with the General Commission for Taxes or your own adviser before committing. We'll happily join that call.

Priced against the registry, not the brochure

Buying from Iraq, your biggest risk is information distance. You can't walk the building, so you're relying on whoever is on the ground. Every recommendation we make carries the DLD/ADREC registered numbers behind it: what units in that building actually sold for, what tenants actually pay, never asking prices. That's the whole point of this brokerage.

Questions Iraq buyers ask

Can Iraqis buy property in Dubai?

Yes, outright freehold in the designated zones with title registered at the Dubai Land Department in your name. Iraqi buyers are consistently among Dubai’s largest nationality groups.

How do Iraqi buyers usually pay?

Commonly from USD funds or accounts held outside Iraq, since transfers from Iraqi banks can be slow and paperwork-heavy. Whatever the route, keep full source-of-funds documentation; it is what makes the UAE side effortless.

Does AED 2M get me the Golden Visa?

Yes, the 10-year renewable visa applies from AED 2M of registered value, off-plan included, spouse and children included. It also opens UAE banking, which many Iraqi buyers treat as step one.
