The Form F deposit cheque is usually held by the broker, not cashed, and forfeited by whichever party pulls out without a contractual reason. Read the special conditions line by line: who pays which fees, what happens if the bank valuation comes in low, and the long-stop transfer date all live there.
This explains the general case. If Form F has come up in a live deal of yours, talk to the team: specific answers, registered numbers, no obligation.
