OFF-PLAN

Handover

The completion of an off-plan purchase: the building receives its completion certificate, you pay the final instalment, complete snagging, and receive keys and title. Handover dates in brochures are targets; the SPA’s anticipated completion date plus grace period is the enforceable one.

At handover you will pay the final milestone, a service charge advance (often 12 months), utility connection deposits and, if applicable, the title deed issuance fee. Do the snagging inspection before signing acceptance, not after.
