Post-handover payment plan

Also searched as: php

A payment plan that continues after you receive the keys, for example 60/40 with the 40% paid over 2 to 5 years post-handover. You live in or rent out the property while still paying the developer, effectively interest-free developer financing.

The catch sits in the title: many developers hold the title deed, or register a lien, until the final instalment clears, which restricts selling and mortgaging meanwhile. Rental income covering the instalments is the standard investor play; check the numbers against registered rents, not the brochure’s.
