NOC (No Objection Certificate)

Also searched as: no objection certificate, developer noc

A No Objection Certificate is the developer’s written confirmation that a property can be transferred: all service charges are paid and the developer has no claim against the unit. Dubai transfers cannot complete without one; the seller obtains it, usually for AED 500 to 5,000 depending on the developer.

The NOC typically takes 3 to 7 working days and has a validity window, so time it against the transfer appointment. On off-plan resales before handover the developer’s NOC also covers the assignment itself, and some developers charge an additional transfer or admin fee at that point.
