Abu Dhabi Metro
Abu Dhabi’s planned metro, first announced in 2008 as part of a surface transport network of roughly 131km taking in an 18km partly underground metro line, two light rail lines and bus rapid transit. Construction had begun as of 2024. No opening date and no station list have been published, so neither is stated here.
What it means for property
Treat this as a direction rather than a date. A metro changes the value of the addresses along it, but only once the route is confirmed, and the route is exactly what has not been published. Anyone selling you an Abu Dhabi apartment on the strength of a metro station nearby is describing a line whose stations are not public.
