Etihad Rail

The national railway: 900 kilometres from the Saudi border to Fujairah, freight already running, and passenger services launching in 2026 with stations announced for Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Al Dhaid and Fujairah, and a Dubai to Abu Dhabi time of about 57 minutes. The first Dubai station is at Jumeirah Golf Estates, beside the Red Line and the 2032 Gold Line, with a second Dubai station planned at Meydan on the Gold Line.

Sharjah and the northern coast are the biggest beneficiaries: a rail link prices RAK and Sharjah communities into the Dubai employment market for the first time.
