The Real Estate Regulatory Agency, the regulatory arm of the Dubai Land Department. RERA licenses brokers and developers, registers project escrow accounts, sets the standard contract forms (A, B, F, I, U), and publishes the rental index that caps rent increases in Dubai.
Two RERA numbers worth checking before any deal: the broker’s licence (every legitimate Dubai agent has a RERA card number) and, for off-plan, the project’s registration and escrow account number. Both are public and take a minute to verify.
